Indiana Wesleyan University Supports Our Veterans

Welcome veterans to Indiana Wesleyan University! We admire and appreciate your dedication and service to protect the freedoms our nation is founded upon. IWU is proud to be a full Yellow Ribbon Program participant for an unlimited number of veterans!

Now we want to serve you through offering exceptional educational opportunities in a variety of delivery modes that can best serve your unique needs. Our vast number of on-line programs gives you the flexibility to study and grow through our rich educational delivery virtually anywhere in the world. Through attendance at any one of our 15 education centers located in three states, you can have valuable in-person interactions with other professionals. Our main campus located in Marion, Indiana, hosts over 3,100 students in a vibrant college environment. Through engagement in any one or a combination of these educational options, an IWU degree can be attainable for you and make a positive difference for your future.

It is important for you to obtain, complete and submit the appropriate forms to utilize your veterans educational benefits. There are several steps involved in confirming your eligibility, so we encourage you to begin the process as early as possible anticipating as many as 10 to 12 weeks before your benefits will begin to flow. Such forms may include:

  • 22-1990 Application for Educational Benefits
  • 22-1995 Request for Change of Program or Place of Training
For recipients of MGIB-AD (Chapter 30), MGOB-SR (Chapter 1606), VEAP (Chapter 32) and REAP (Chapter 1607) benefits
  • 22-5490 Application for Survivors’ and Dependents’ Education Assistance
  • 22-5495 Request for Change of Program or Place of Training
For recipients of Dependents Educational Assistance Program benefits

You may complete these forms online.

You may need to submit other documents, like a copy of your DD-214, to our processors as well. Staff in the IWU Records Office will help complete and process your paperwork. They may be reached with any questions at:
